Workshop on Healthy Eating and Nutrition – Grades 6 to 8

Sparsh International School organised a meaningful and interactive workshop on Healthy Eating and Nutrition for students of Grades 6 to 8 on 1st December 2025, in collaboration with the Go Sharpner team. The programme was conducted under the initiative of the school’s Interact Club. The session was led by Ms. Lubhanshi, a food and nutrition professional associated with Troovy. Drawing from her experience in research and community engagement, she interacted actively with students and helped them understand the importance of healthy eating habits. During the workshop, students were made aware of the harmful effects of packaged and junk food. The speaker also explained simple and practical ways to replace packaged food with healthy, homemade alternatives, encouraging students to make mindful food choices in their everyday lives. An engaging activity was conducted in which students were asked to create a healthy snack using natural and wholesome ingredients, avoiding any harmful additives. The activity witnessed enthusiastic participation and creative ideas from the students. Six students were declared winners and were awarded gift hampers in recognition of their effort and innovation. The workshop successfully helped students connect healthy food with energy, learning, and happiness. It was a valuable initiative that aligned with the school’s focus on holistic development and wellbeing.
