SIS Interact Club echoes a GOONJ of Joy of Sharing: a step towards service above self

‘Joy of Sharing is not just a contribution; it is a habit that shapes one’s character. Even a small act of giving counts and makes a lasting difference in someone’s life.’

On Children’s Day, 14th November 2025, the SIS Interact Club celebrated the day with the true spirit of Service Above Self by successfully completing the project Parwaha Apno Ki 2.0 at Goonj, Sarita Vihar, Delhi.

Sparsh International School, a hub of values and ethics along with its mission of Education for All, continues to work strongly towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As part of this commitment, 28 Interactors and 2 teachers led a month-long collection drive in the school premises.

Parents contributed wholeheartedly, supporting the twin mission—reaching out to communities facing challenges in meeting their basic needs and promoting the idea of turning WASTE into WOW. Throughout the drive, students worked sincerely, and their dedicated efforts brought them immense happiness and contentment.

During the visit to Goonj, students donated the collected materials and observed how every piece of cloth, paper, or leftover material is carefully transformed into useful items. They also learned how these items are further prepared and distributed to remote and tribal communities. This experience offered them a valuable insight into sustainability, dignity, and responsible citizenship.

From collection to donation, the entire initiative enriched every participant, strengthening their understanding of SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

The SIS Interact Club extends heartfelt gratitude to the School Management, the Principal, and the parents for their constant support and generosity. Their involvement made the project meaningful, proving that every contribution makes a meaningful difference.

Overall, Parwaha Apno Ki 2.0 was a heart-touching, impactful, and successful initiative that truly celebrated the Joy of Sharing
