One of the most important things we do as parents is choose a school for our kids. We want our kids to do well in school, but we also want them to grow up to be honest, kind and responsible people. Sparsh International believes that education should do more than just teach kids facts and numbers. It should help them develop a strong sense of right and wrong that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. We focus on building character because we know that students with strong morals can handle the stress of today's world better. We make sure that these values are a part of everything we do at Sparsh International so that our students grow up to be kind and smart.
The "3C Model" stands for Character, Competencies and Careerism. This is the basis of our philosophy. We believe that a child needs to grow in these three areas at the same time in order to really grow. The most important part of this model is character. It decides how a student uses their skills and how they treat other people. Sparsh International, which used to be called J.P. International School, has always believed that the best way to help kids grow these traits is to pay attention to them.
Value-based education isn't just something you read about at SI. Everyone at school lives by it every day. We have worked with experts like "Mogly's" to make these lessons come to life through stories and games. This makes learning moral values more fun. We use these new methods to teach students about our rich cultural heritage and the values that make us better citizens.
We also think that doing things is a great way to learn. Every minute, whether we're working on a project in the Atal Tinkering Lab or playing a team sport, we have a chance to learn how to work together and be a leader. Students learn more than just a skill when they do a science experiment or a Taekwondo drill together. They also learn how to be a part of a community. This "hands-on" way of learning makes sure that the values they learn are not just ideas, but things they will do for the rest of their lives.
We have always believed that the best results happen when the family and the school work together. We want to keep talking about this in our "Sparsh Samvaad" meetings. We all need to be on the same page about what we want from our kids. We want you to feel like a real part of your child's life, not just someone who gets a report card at the end of the term.We have learned that real discipline doesn't come from following strict rules; it comes from having a sense of purpose. It really depends on how kids learn. We think that real discipline comes from being consistent and having a real interest in what you are learning, whether it is maths, science, or English.
Sparsh International, which used to be called J.P. International School, has always put the child at the centre of learning. This is a big reason why students at Sparsh International School do well, not just in school but also in how they deal with the problems of the modern world.
Q1. How are values integrated into the regular academic curriculum at SI?
We do not treat values as a separate subject; instead, we weave them into every lesson and activity. For example, a Literature class might explore empathy through a story’s characters, while a Science project encourages teamwork and honest reporting of results.
Q2. What can parents do at home to support the value-based education my child receives?
The most important thing is consistency. We encourage parents to talk about values like honesty and kindness in daily life and to model the behaviours they wish to see in their children. Staying involved through school sessions also helps ensure we are all working towards the same goals.
